| Distance Measuring Devices |
Distance Measuring Devices which have no other functions may be used. Use of a DMD that has any function such as slope calculation will result in disqualification even if such a function is turned off. |
| Eligibility |
Open fathers and sons, including golf professionals, affiliated with the Western Pennsylvania Golf Association. Each team must ahve one golfer affiliated with the Association. Both team members must have USGA Handicap Indexes to be eligible for net prizes. Parents wishing to play with more than one child may do so by entering twice. The second entry will be only be charged $50. |
| Forms of play |
Eighteen holes of stroke play, Chapman format. Both gross and net prizes will be awarded. Handicap allowances will be determined as noted in the USGA Handicap System Manual. |
| Late Entries |
The Committee reserves the right to accept late entries. Such entries may be accepted at the convenience of the Committee, and must be accompanied by a late fee of $20 prior to acceptance. |
| List of Conforming Golf Balls |
The ball the player plays must be named on the current List of Conforming Golf Balls issued by the United States Golf Association.
PENALTY FOR BREACH OF CONDITION:
Disqualification. |
| Other Items |
Entry fees include range balls, food, prizes and cart fees. |
| Rules of Play |
USGA Rules of Golf, the WPGA Local Rules card and other Local Rules distributed will govern play. |
| Starting Times and Information |
Starting times and other information will be available on the WPGA web site (http://www.wpga.org) approximately one week before the championship. If you are unable to get your time from the website, please call 412-826-2180.
The optional condition to Rule 6-3 is in effect. See Page 27 of the Rules of Golf. |
| Transportation |
One golf cart per team is required and included in the entry fee. |
| Withdrawals |
Withdrawals after the groupings and starting times have been finalized will be charged a $20 service charge. Withdrawals on the day of the event will not recieve an refund. |
